Truth they say hurts but it is better to say it, so that those leaders who are loyal to terrorists including other bandits and at the same time arming them with dangerous weapons to kill innocent Nigerians would have a rethink and possibly change their minds for good. Recently, some prominent Nigerians allegely visited groups of dangerous bandits in the forest, negotiating with them and even went as far as saying that they should not be called criminals. Viewers Corner News team ask, how did those who visited the bandits in the forest know their hideouts if they are not secretly having contact with them? Again, if they know their hideouts, why didn’t they inform the federal government of Nigeria so that the Nigerian military can go after those bandits? Issues like this would create more division among the people of Nigeria because those who the people of Nigeria look up to as their mentors may be the ones creating the problems for the country. Meaning that the issue of trust would no longer be there. If knowing the hideouts of the bandits and visiting them had been carried out by another person from the southern region in Nigeria, the federal government would have send the DSS, the police or the military to go after such individuals but now that it is happening in the northern part of Nigeria, it has become a different ball game which Viewers Corner News team see as a double standard and should be condemned completely. Viewers Corner News team stand with governor El-Rufai of Kaduna state on a point he made by saying that no negotiation would be done with bandits. However, Viewers Corner News team is calling on those bandits across Nigeria to drop their weapons, come out of hiding and discuss your grievances with the federal government of Nigeria and join the great people of the country to rebuild Nigeria. Kidnapping and killing of innocent Nigerians would never make anyone a hero, such act of wickedness can only bring shame to the country and at the same time scare potential investors from coming into Nigeria to invest. Say no to banditry and embrace development just like most nations in the world are doing at the moment.
