The recent alleged military coup in Uganda may be as a result of Yoweri Museveni, the president of the country who has been in power for thirty years (30 years) and has personalized the country as his own private property. This is not a true democratic system of government and should never be allowed in any country it exist. This sort of system would create poverty in the long run like we have seen in Uganda today where the poverty rate is very high, change is the only solution in this situation. Again why would an individual be in power as the president of a country (Uganda) for 30 years? The constitution of the country (Uganda) initially never said so but some of these African terrible leaders as soon as they are elected into office as the president of their various countries, the first thing in their agenda is to change the constitution to suit their selfish purpose which would permanently keep them in power forever and this is only happening in the third world countries most especially in the continent of Africa. This system has brought backwardness in the continent like we have seen in Uganda where the president Yoweri Museveni has refused to do the right thing, he has promoted his son to the post of a general and his wife as the minister of education in the country (Uganda). Now an alleged military coup was recently carried out but failed, who knows the group that may be planning something again to remove him from power. If this happens, it may create more problems in the country (Uganda).
We (Viewers Corner News) were rightly informed by our correspondent in Uganda that some law makers including some military personnel were involved in the failed coup though they have all been arrested but we believe that if the president Yoweri Museveni had followed the democratic principles, there would not have been any need for a coup in the country. Seriously time has come for leaders in Africa to re-examine themselves properly because they are part of the reasons the citizens of their various countries are still in poverty till today, they should lead by example. Leaders in Africa should follow the success stories of those who made it to the top through hard work, honesty, dedication and by obeying the constitution of your various countries, this is one of the best ways progress can come to your various countries in Africa. Do not stay in power forever if you want your country to move forward.
