SOME LABOUR UNION LEADERS IN KOGI STATE (NIGERIA) ARE PRAISING GOVERNOR YAHAYA BELLO FOR HAVING PAID DECEMBER 2018 AND JANUARY 2019 WORKERS SALARIES. WHAT ABOUT THE UNPAID MONTHS? THIS IS A SHAME.

Wonders they say shall never end. Those who are supposed to be fighting for workers’ welfare are the ones working against it in Kogi state (Nigeria). Viewers Corner News correspondent in Abuja (Nigeria) gathered that some labour union members in Kogi state are praising governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state (Nigeria) for having paid December 2018 and January 2019 workers salaries. These payments were made in the month of June 2019 as alleged. What about February to May and others which are still pending? This group of people in Kogi state (Nigeria) still want to re-elect such non-performing governor to office which is bad. This is the most horrible thing any labour union representing workers anywhere in the world can do. Could it be that those representing workers in various unions in Kogi state have compromised their positions by dancing to governor Yahaya Bello’s way? If that be the case, then it is a shame to those workers’ representatives in Kogi state (Nigeria) who are supporting governor Yahaya Bello’s re-election bid because workers and pensioners are not supposed to be owed a cent no matter the situation. If you owe workers and pensioners, how are they going to feed their families and take care of other personal issues? One of the reasons we (Viewers Corner New team) are asking governors in Nigeria to always pay workers and pensioners is that workers and pensioners would be able to live comfortably and at the same time help in growing the economy of the country (Nigeria). Also there would be more cash flow within the system because people would at least have some money to spend on what they need at any point in time and it will also favour the state government in Nigeria which we (Viewers Corner News team) shall discuss in detail in our future article.
