Some governors in Nigeria do not have what it takes to lead a state. Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state as a case study.

No one is asking the government of Nigeria to borrow trillions of naira to solve the Academic Staff Union of Universities demand. What any sensible leader should have done in such a critical period is to look inward and see how to cut costs and also eliminate wasteful spending. Leaders should make some sacrifices concerning their allowances and salaries if they honestly want the progress of the people of Nigeria. The All Progressives Congress leadership promised Nigerians good governance, but now Nigerians are getting the opposite. The allowances paid on a monthly basis to serving governors and ex-governors in Nigeria run into billions of Naira, if not trillions, and these ex-governors served only one or two tenures in their various states. Most of them are still in the senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as senators, receiving huge sums of money, including handouts. All these put together are more than enough to solve the Academic Staff Union of Universities’ problem. Therefore, Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state should be quiet if he has nothing reasonable to say on the issue of the Academic Staff Union of Universities strike. Governor David Umahi and other leaders in Nigeria have their children studying abroad but failed to offer a solution to end the Academic Staff Union of Universities strike, which is bad. The Viewers Corner News team pleads with university students across Nigeria, including the Academic Staff Union of Universities management, to say “NEVER AGAIN” will the All Progressives Congress be in control of Nigeria because they have ruined the economy and the educational system of the country. The All Progressives Congress leadership has brought severe pain to the people of Nigeria in their seven and half years of leading the country. If Nigerians decide to elect them again to run the affairs of the country, then the blame should be on Nigerians. The All Progressives Congress has failed in all aspects of governance, hence the Viewers Corner News team is calling on Nigerian voters to discard them in the 2023 presidential election. Any vote for the All Progressives Congress is a wasted effort. This is the truth; take it or leave it.
