With this statement coming from some Nigerian governors who have refused to pay workers’ salaries and pensioners’ allowances in their states shows that they are bad news to governance. We (Viewers Corner News team) are asking them this question; What other investment would be more important in their states than first paying workers’ salaries and pensioners’ allowances? We (Viewers Corner News team) also want to remind them that paying workers’ salaries and pensioners’ allowances can improve the living standard of people in their various states across Nigeria and so on. We (Viewers Corner News team) shall continue to write on this topic (non payment of workers’ salaries and pensioners’ allowances) because those governors owing workers’ salaries and pensioners’ allowances in Nigeria need tutorials on how government policies work so that they can be able to lead properly.
Another point we (Viewers Corner News team) would like to make clear is this; Please Nigerian governors who are owing workers and pensioners in their states, the federal allocation gets to you all on monthly basis and in this total package, workers’ salaries and pensioners’ allowances are included. It is only appropriate to remove workers’ salaries and pensioners’ allowances from the total sum of what you get from the federal government of Nigeria and the balance which runs into billions of Naira would be used for other projects in your state and no matter how small it may be, your internal generated revenue is also there.
In the past, bailout funds and Paris loan refund were given to most governors across Nigeria, still they are unable to pay workers’ salaries and pensioners’ allowances which is bad. We (Viewers Corner News team) are advising those governors owing workers and pensioners in their states to kindly cut down on wasteful spending most especially on irrelevant projects in their states with the purpose of enriching themselves. Workers’ salaries and pensioners’ allowances should come first in whatever expenditure any governor in Nigeria is going to embark upon as soon as the monthly federal allocation is paid to the state (Nigeria).
