Some government officials in Nigeria are saying that the insecurity in the country is overrated.

Most Nigerians, both at home and abroad, heard recently from some government officials in Nigeria saying that the insecurity across the country is exaggerated. Meaning that Nigerians are not being killed or kidnapped as people made them to be. It is so surprising that anyone in Nigeria could say a thing like this; even those who are not living in Nigeria are aware of the killings going on in Nigeria. In some northern states, hundreds of innocent Nigerians were brutally murdered, and the killings continued on a daily basis, which is not hidden for everyone to see. But some government officials sit in their comfort zones to say that it is not as people made it to look. Even in the federal capital territory Abuja, some Nigerians were abducted from their homes; in Ekiti State and Kwara State in the south-western part of Nigeria, some prominent traditional rulers were killed, and still some government officials would say that the insecurity in Nigeria is not real. We are calling on the government of Nigeria to devise a more aggressive approach against terrorists, kidnappers, and bandits so that Nigerians can have peace.
