SHARING THE RETURNED ABACHA’S LOOT (322 MILLION DOLLAR) TO SELECTED GROUP OF INDIVIDUALS IN NIGERIA WILL BE THE MOST CARELESS, RECKLESS AND FOOLISH ECONOMIC DECISION THAT WOULD BE MADE BY ANY SITTING GOVERNMENT IN NIGERIA IF SUCH DECISION IS CARRIED OUT. STOP THIS NON-ECONOMIC APPROACH TO DEVELOPMENT AND INVEST THE RETURNED MONEY WISELY.

Information reaching Viewers Corner News through our correspondent in Abuja (Nigeria) revealed that the recent returned Sani Abacha’s loot which amount to the sum of 322 million dollar is going to be shared among selected individuals in Nigeria who are believed to be less privileged. Somehow, there is nothing too bad if the federal government of Nigeria assists the less privilege people in the country (Nigeria) with some cash gifts. Such gesture is allowed but in this situation, spending such huge sum of money on selected individuals in Nigeria would amount to an economic waste. No country in the world facing economic difficulties like Nigeria would embark on such terrible project at this point in time. Firstly, Nigeria up till now is still lacking behind on issues of generating power supply to her citizens. Many states across Nigeria for weeks have not seen light but at the end of every month, huge electricity bills are sent to the consumers which is bad. This attitude in our (Viewers Corner News team) assessment is fraud and should be looked into. Sincerely, with this Sani Abacha’s loot which was recently returned to the federal government of Nigeria, it can go a long way in solving this power issue. Secondly, the agricultural sector of the Nigerian economy is lacking behind and with this returned Abacha’s loot if invested into agriculture, it can go a long way in feeding the country (Nigeria) because people are hungry and need to eat quality foods. Thirdly, education in Nigeria is facing real problems. During our (Viewers Corner News team) working tour in Nigeria not too long ago, we found out that most schools across Nigeria starting from primary up to university level are operating in environments which are not condusive for learning. Even the University Teaching hospitals across Nigeria lack so many equipment to carry out their practice and with this Abacha’s returned loot if invested into this area, it can go a long way in saving lives and at the same time create a better future for the Nigerian people. Fourthly, the issue of security is another serious problem. Nigeria as a country needs money to secure her security networks so that the lives of her citizens can be saved. Security is very important in every country and if any government can not protect the lives of her citizens, then the government in question is as good as nothing. We (Viewers Corner News team) can go on and on to explain to the federal government of Nigeria on how the returned Abacha’s loot can be helpful to the economy of the country (Nigeria). However, we (Viewers Corner News team) are appealing to president Buhari and his team to have a rethink and do what is right by using the returned loot wisely. Sharing it to a selected group of people in Nigeria is not the best and have no economy value to the country (Nigeria).

Viewers Corner News team would also use this opportunity to plead with president Buhari to assemble qualified economic team to assist his government on day to day running of the country (Nigeria). Honestly what the world is seeing coming from Nigeria as a great country is not expected of her, therefore a new approach to getting things done the right way is required and now is the time to get started because tomorrow may be too late.
