They are certain areas where president Buhari’s government is spending money which may not be very necessary, instead such money budgeted for that purpose should be used for something else because right now, Nigeria needs money no matter how little it may be from wherever it can get to solve her economic problems. For instance, setting up a committee to sell few Nigeria’s presidential jets is an economic waste because those committee members would be paid huge salaries and other benefits which is not necessary at this period of economic hardship. We are in the era where social media can be engaged in this sort of business as long as is done nicely and before you know it, all the presidential jets would be sold. Another aspect is budgeting huge amount of money on “change begins with me program”, this is not necessary. Those billions mapped out for this program would have been used for something more important which would bring benefits to the Nigerian economy because the people of the country (Nigeria) need help to get out of the present situation they are facing which is hitting them real hard. Launching “change begins with me” is a good one but we are only concern about the huge amount of money involved in this program, using about 3.4 billion Naira as alleged at this particular time of economic hardship is not the best idea therefore we are appealing to president Buhari’s government to reassess his programs and see which one to execute first that would bring real economic benefits to the Nigerian people both in the short run and in the long run too.
Your government should also try not to make the same mistakes ex-president Goodluck Jonathan made in the past by spending Nigeria hard earned money carelessly and recklessly which put Nigeria as a nation in this economic hardship it is right now. However we (Viewers Corner News and the advisory team) still believe that the economy of Nigeria would bounce back as time goes on, is just a matter of time and it shall be well again.
