SENATOR GODSWILL AKPABIO WORKED NICELY AS A GOVERNOR OF AKWA-IBOM STATE (NIGERIA) BUT HE IS A CORRUPT HUMAN BEING. LET THE TRUTH BE TOLD.

When Senator Godswill Akpabio was appointed as a minister of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), we (Viewers Corner News team) assumed based on his great works during his tenure as governor of Akwa-Ibom state that his skills and ability to do great things would be used to fix the Niger Delta region and make it a great place. Although we (Viewers Corner News team) knew based on our findings that Senator Godswill Akpabio is a corrupt man, we also saw in the past when he was a member of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) of Nigeria how he single handedly donated five billion Naira to Goodluck Jonathan’s campaign and later that story was changed which we shall discuss in our future article. Somehow as a minister, Godswill Akpabio should have started thinking of how to change some of his past alleged corrupt records for good because President Buhari who oversees the running of the country (Nigeria) is not corrupt and would bring any minister in his cabinet who is corrupt to book if information to do so is found. Our (Viewers Corner News team) point is this; Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) which we have been talking about for so long concerning the huge corruption going on in that ministry (NDDC) has almost drain half of Nigeria’s budget. The money which the federal government of Nigeria has given so far to Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is not reaching those in need at the Niger Delta region so when Senator Godswill Akpabio was appointed the minister of Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), we (Viewers Corner News team) thought that he would bring changes to the region but the story still remain the same. Those who are on scholarship abroad under Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) are suffering as alleged, the money for those students has been budgeted by Nigerian authority but some wicked individuals at Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) refused to transfer the money to those students, instead they sit on it. Contractors who worked for Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) in the past are still being owed their money till today. Some senators from south south, south east and senior workers at the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) are now using the ministry as their private ATM where they can rush to and take billions of money with impunity. All these corrupt ways should stop if development would ever get to that region (NDDC) of the country (Nigeria). Look at the scandal going on between Senator Godswill Akpabio and Ms Joy Nunieh who was the ex-acting managing director of the commission (NDDC), all these are as a result of dishonesty among the leaders in that ministry. Another troubling aspect was an interview a commissioner of police in Nigeria granted, calling Joy Nunieh a criminal, perhaps that was why the police wanted to forcefully arrest her without first inviting her to their office. Such act was unprofessional and such impunity coming from the Nigerian police is bad and should be condemned completely. If it were to be in a civilised world, the police commissioner would have been called to order. The police have no right to aggressively enter a citizen’s property who is not a threat to the society without any arrest warrant and even at that, she remains a suspect and not a criminal as the commissioner of police put it during his interview. Viewers Corner News team is appealing to President Buhari personally to look into this matter because he is the only one that can solve the problem. Anyone, no matter his or her status in the country (Nigeria) who contributed in looting the money meant for the people of Niger Delta region should be brought to book. We (Viewers Corner News team) would also use this opportunity to ask President Buhari to remove all the management staff of the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) including Senator Godswill Akpabio because they are all bad news to the commission (NDDC). More on this topic would come in our next article.
