The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared David Mark winner of the Benue South Senatorial re-run election. The Court of Appeal nullified the election of David Mark as the Senator representing the zone in the previous election held on March 28, 2015 and the re-run was held on Saturday, February 20, 2016. David Mark who was the Senate President during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan defeated his major opponent Daniel Onjeh of the All Progressives Congress with a total of 84,192 votes against a total of 71,621 votes polled by Daniel Onjeh. Congratulations to Senator David Mark.
