Sometimes one would wonder how those leaders in positions of authority in Nigeria and other African countries see issues. How can anyone sponsor a bill to ban generator import which is the last hope of the ordinary person in the country (Nigeria)? This does not make any sense to us. Though Senator Bima Enagi (Niger South, APC) who is sponsoring the bill at the senate has right to his opinion but all we (Viewers Corner News team) are asking is that he should first study the situation in Nigeria to see if the ban on generator import and sending offenders to jail if this bill is put into law is appropriate or not. Our (Viewers Corner News team) take on this is that if you ban generator import, it would affect the lives of so many Nigerians who do not rely on the power providers for light. Therefore, before such bill can be introduced to the floor of the senate, Nigerians should at least be having non stop power supply which is the right thing to do. Again, power supply in Nigeria is poor and the bill to ban generator import in the country (Nigeria) should be killed until all the necessary things are put in place. We (Viewers Corner News team) are calling on Senator Bima Enagi (Niger South, APC) to examine this bill properly to see if it is worthy of pushing forward. Senator Bima Enagi (Niger South, APC), let the welfare of ordinary Nigerians be your number one priority, there are lots of bills that can improve the lives of the people of Nigeria if sponsored and passed into law which Senators in Nigeria are not working to achieve because it does not concern them or may be, they do not have much idea on which bill to sponsor. We (Viewers Corner News team) shall name those bills in our next article and hopefully, it would bring lots of people in Nigeria out of poverty if any Senator can sponsor it and probably pass into law. We (Viewers Corner News team) would also use this opportunity to plead with the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria to stop the alleged immunity removal of the president, vice president, governors and others. The truth is that democracy has given them that immunity as long as they are in office, so let it be. It would be very wrong to take it away from them, however the proposal will be dead on arrival.
