The 2023 election is not going to be business as usual. Look at Mr. Ahmad Lawan, the Senate President of Nigeria, who did not contest in the Senatorial primary of his constituency because he had his eyes fixed on becoming the president of Nigeria. He paid one hundred million Naira to purchase the presidential ticket, but when that aspect did not favour him, he quickly went back to take the position from the man who contested and won the senatorial primary of his constituency. The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has denied him the senatorial ticket. Meaning that when his term as a senator expires in 2023, he will leave the national assembly. A similar situation also happened to ex-minister Godswill Akpabio and Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi state, which is good. Now hear this; the era to build a new Nigeria is fast approaching. Never again will the people of Nigeria have corrupt and greedy lawmakers directing the affairs of the country for their own selfish gains and approving whatever the president of Nigeria presents to them without properly investigating to know if such demands are needed or not. The National Assembly contributed to why Nigeria as a country has huge debts and if you check where these huge sums of money were spent, you will not find it. Most of the borrowed money went to irrelevant projects and the rest to various private pockets, which is bad.
