A 52-year-old U.S astronaut, Scott Kelly and Mikhail Kornienko, a Russian cosmonaut came back to earth on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 after being in the space for almost one year. According to report, Kelly and Kornienko completed an International Space Station record year-long mission to collect valuable data on the effect of long duration weightlessness on the human body that will be used to formulate a human mission to Mars. Kelly and Kornienko came back with Russia’s Sergei Volkov, who was stationed at the ISS for over five months and they landed at southeast of Dzhezkazgan in central Kazakhstan at around 04:30 GMT.
Scott Kelly broke record for the longest single stay in space by a US astronaut with this mission.
