SAURABH CHAUDHARY, 16 YEAR OLD INDIAN HAS WON THE MEN’S 10-METER AIR PISTOL GOLD MEDAL AT THE ASIAN GAMES IN PALEMBANG, INDONESIA.

Saurabh Chaudhary (Indian) has won the men’s 10-meter air pistol gold medal at the 18th Asian Games in Palembang, Indonesia on Tuesday, 21 August 2018. This is Chaudhary’s debut in senior competition and he won with a record of 240.7 in the 24-shot final. Tomoyuki Matsuda, 42-year-old Japanese (ex-world champion) was one point behind him (Saurabh Chaudhary). Tomoyuki Matsuda of Japan won silver medal while Bonze medalist is Abhishek Verma of India after finishing in third place.
Liu Xiang from China won gold medal in the Women’s 50m backstroke final during the swimming competition at the 18th Asian Games in Jakarta (Indonesia) on Tuesday, August 21, 2018. The 21-year-old Chinese swimmer broke a backstroke world record in 26.98 seconds, beating Fu Yuanhui (teammate) and Natsumi Sakai of Japan. The previous world mark in 50m backstroke was set by Chinese swimmer Zhao Jing at the 2009 world championships in Rome. Fu Yuanhui (the defending champion) won silver medal in 27.68 while Natsumi Sakai of Japan won bronze in 27.91.
Alain Moussa and Ray Bassil of Lebanon won Lebanon’s first gold medal in mixed team trap final shooting at Palembang (Indonesia) with 43 points. Palembang (Indonesia) is co-hosting the 18th Asian games with Jakarta (Indonesia).
