San Francisco has become the first United States city to ban the sale of e-cigarettes despite being the home to Juul Labs (the most popular e-cigarette producer in the US). On Tuesday, 25 June 2019, the city’s board of supervisors unanimously voted to ban stores from selling the vaporisers and also made it illegal for online retailers to deliver to any address in San Francisco until the Food and Drug Administration concludes a review of the impacts of vaping on public health. Dennis Herrera, San Francisco Attorney stated that the measure would help prevent next generation of San Francisco from becoming addicted to nicotine.
