RUSSIA HAS BANNED 25 BRITISH CITIZENS FROM ENTERING THE COUNTRY IN RETALIATION TO THE UNITED KINGDOM’S SANCTIONS.

Viewers Corner News correspondent in Moscow reported that 25 British citizens were recently banned from entering Russia. This is in retaliation to the similar sanctions Britain imposed on Russia. In July 2020, Britain banned 25 Russians and 20 Saudi Arabians from entering the country, which foreign minister Dominic Raab said it is one of the post-Brexit measures taken to prevent the laundering of blood money. The Britain’s ban includes Russian citizens alleged to have involved in the mistreatment and death of lawyer Sergei Magnitsky. In 2008, Sergei Magnitsky was arrested after he accused Russian officials of being involved in large-scale tax fraud. He died in a Moscow prison in 2009 after complaining of mistreatment.
