Richard Anthony Jones walked free after wasting his 17 years in prison for the crime he denied committing. Jones has a doppelganger (someone who looked exactly like him) named Ricky and according to investigation made by Jones lawyers, it was discovered that the other man (Ricky) lived near the area where the crime (1999 robbery in Roeland Park) was committed hence they assumed he (Ricky) committed the crime. Jones lawyers presented their case at Johnson County District Court, based on testimony and new evidence, Judge Kevin Moriarty (Johnson County District Judge) ordered that Jones should be set free.
