RASSIE ERASMUS HAS BEEN APPOINTED AS THE NEW HEAD COACH OF SOUTH AFRICA SPRINGBOKS. CONGRATULATIONS.

Rassie Erasmus was on Thursday, March 1, 2018 appointed the new head coach of South Africa Springboks for a six year contract. He is to lead the team through the next two Rugby World Cups in 2019 and 2023. Rassie Erasmus who has coached in domestic and Super Rugby in South Africa will replace Allister Coetzee who left the club as head coach last month. He (Rassie Erasmus) worked recently as director of rugby for Irish club Munster, where he won the 2017 coach of the year award in Europe’s Pro12 tournament. From 1997-2001, Erasmus played 36 tests for the Springboks and also captained his country in one test. Erasmus will be assisted by three assistant coaches (Jacques Nienaber, Pieter de Villiers and Mzwandile Stick). Congratulations to Rassie Erasmus.
