Robert Sylvester Kelly (R. Kelly) has been found guilty of sex trafficking. According to the report, the singer used his celebrity status to conduct a two-decade-long operation to sexually abuse women and children. During the six-week trial, eleven women and two men testified of sexual humiliation and violence in his hands. After two days of deliberation, the jury found him guilty of all nine charges he was facing. He was found guilty of being the ringleader of a violent and coercive plot that enticed women and children to sexually abuse them. He has also been found guilty of racketeering and of trafficking women between states in the United States. The prosecutors showed during the trial how his managers, security guards, and other entourage members assisted him in his illicit activities. One woman who testified against Kelly, claiming she imprisoned, drugged, and raped her, said that she had been hiding from Kelly and living in fear since she went public with her allegations. R. Kelly will be sentenced on May 4, 2022 and he may spend the rest of his life in prison. R. Kelly is also on trial in Chicago on allegations of child sex pictures and obstruction. Illinois and Minnesota will also charge him with sex abuse, according to the information our correspondent gathered.
