PROTEST OVER A VOTE FOR A NEW SPEAKER IN MACEDONIA PARLIAMENT HAS WOUNDED NOT LESS THAN 100 PEOPLE.

Not less than 100 people were wounded on Thursday, April 27 when dozens of nationalist protesters stormed the Macedonia parliamentary building in anger over a vote for a new speaker. According to the report our (Viewers Corner news) correspondent gathered, the trouble started after the Social Democrats (SDSM) and Albanian parties voted in Talat Xhaferi (an ethnic Albanian) as a new parliamentary speaker. The angry protesters which include some masked men broke a police cordon and entered the parliament waving Macedonian flags, shouting and singing the national anthem. Zoran Zaev (leader of the opposition Social Democrats) was seriously injured as blood was running down his face and shirt, also many women climbed down from a balcony in order to escape from being hurt. The Interior Minister (Agim Nuhiu) stated that 10 members of the parliament including some journalists were among those injured in the violence. We also gathered that United States of America and European Union have strongly condemned the act. President Gjorge Ivanov of Macedonia also appealed for calm stating that the party leaders will be invited to discuss the situation in his office.
