PROTEST AGAINST PRESIDENT ROBERT MUGABE’S LONG STAY IN OFFICE WAS HELD RECENTLY IN ZIMBABWE, HE SHOULD LISTEN TO THE VOICE OF THE PEOPLE THIS TIME.

President Robert Mugabe of Zimbabwe has no choice this time around but listen to the voice of the citizens of his country (Zimbabwe) who are asking him to step down because he has outstayed his usefulness as the president of Zimbabwe. Our (Viewers corner) correspondent in Harare (Zimbabwe) gathered that the recent protest is one of the largest ever held in the country followed by the 2007 protest which Tsvangirai and other opposition party members were severely beaten. This time around more supporters of Tsvangirai and his political party (the Movement for Democratic Change) including other peace loving people of Zimbabwe have joined in the crusade calling on president Robert Mugabe to step down, this is a very good move. We (Viewers corner) are suggesting to the protesters to avoid anything that would cause violence during protests so that president Robert Mugabe would not have any reason or reasons to use his security agents against the people who are exercising their rights to protest and demand for a change.
Normally at president Robert Mugabe’s age (92 years), he should have resigned and remain the elder statesman instead of creating problems for himself by not wanting to leave office. We (Viewers corner) believe that president Robert Mugabe has outstayed his usefulness in office as the president of Zimbabwe, he has turned the country into something else and has no intention of stepping down. The economy of Zimbabwe is among the worst in the world but now that the citizens of his country are asking him to step down, we hope that he would listen to the voice of the people and resign peacefully so that younger individuals with better knowledge of modern economic policies and values would come and change the face of the country (Zimbabwe) to a better standard so that the ordinary citizens of the country can live a normal and happy life.
