The Buckingham Palace announced that Prince Philip, the Duke of Edinburgh and husband of Queen Elizabeth II is dead. According to the statement issued by the palace, Prince Philip died on Friday morning (9 April 2021) at Windsor Castle. Prince Philip married Queen Elizabeth II in 1947, five years before she was crowned Queen. Prince Philip and the Queen had four children, eight grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. May his soul rest in peace.
