PRIME MINISTER HAILEMARIAM DESALEGN OF ETHIOPIA HAS DECLARED STATE OF EMERGENCY TO RESTORE ORDER IN THE COUNTRY.

Ethiopia’s Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn has declared a six-month state of emergency in the country in order to restore stability after several protests in the country. Since last year, there has been an unrest in the Oromiya region (Ethiopia’s largest and most populous region which surrounds the capital Addis Ababa). Infrastructures, businesses, health centres, education centers, government offices were destroyed and about 500 people lost their lives during the protests.
