Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine)

PRESIDENT YOWERI MUSEVENI’S GOVERNMENT HAS WITHDRAWN UGANDAN MILITARY AND POLICE FROM BOBI WINE’S HOME AFTER COURT ORDER.

Viewers Corner News correspondent in Kampala reported that President Yoweri Museveni’s government has withdrawn military and police from Robert Kyagulanyi (Bobi Wine) home a day after court’s order. Bobi Wine has been under house arrest with his wife since the country held the presidential election which the long-serving President Yoweri Museveni was declared the winner. A High Court in Kampala on Monday ordered the military and police to leave the home of Ugandan presidential candidate Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu (Bobi Wine). The court’s ruling came after Bobi Wine’s lawyers filed a petition at the High Court. President Yoweri Museveni’s government argued that Bobi Wine needed to be under house arrest to prevent him from organising protests, but the court ruled that Bobi Wine’s detention was unlawful and was an infringement on his personal freedom.
