President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda is running the affairs of his country as a family enterprise, which is terrible.

We said in our past articles that when a good dancer stays too long on stage, his values diminish. President Yoweri Museveni of Uganda started doing well at some point as president of Uganda, but as time progressed, he derailed and began to do the unthinkable. In Uganda, there are so many qualified people who can play a good role in certain key positions in the economy; instead, President Yoweri Museveni decided to give some of the key positions to his immediate family. His wife is the minister of education in Uganda; his son is the chief of defence; and now his daughter is the governor of the Central Bank of Uganda. We ask, Why will you allocate these key positions to your family alone? We believe that it is not appropriate to have these key positions shared among your family. In all honesty, you should have considered others in Uganda. They deserve to have these positions too, but this is Africa for you.
