The Viewers Corner News correspondent in Free-Town, Sierra-Leone gathered that the Sierra-Leone army has taken the laws into their own hands by brutalizing innocent citizens of the country, both those who took part in the last protests and those who did not take part. Our correspondent further revealed that some individuals in Sierra-Leone who had misunderstandings with someone in the past would just go to the military and report that there was a person hiding somewhere who was involved in the last protest, which killed innocent lives and destroyed properties worth millions of dollars. Without any investigation, the Sierra-Leone army will arrest those mentioned people and begin to torture them, which is bad. Based on this inhumane treatment given to these groups of people in Sierra-Leone by the army, the Viewers Corner News team is calling on President Julius Maada Bio of Sierra-Leone to end such brutality going on in the country. Democracy permits citizens of every country in the world to carry out protests, especially when the government of a country is not performing well. This was exactly what the people of Sierra-Leone did. The Sierra-Leone army has no right to torture or kill anyone who is demanding better governance from the government of their country. Again, it is not the job of the army to arrest protesters. Such irresponsible acts should stop. President Julius Maada Bio should understand that the international community is watching and will hold him accountable for the loss of lives of the people of Sierra-Leone. Again, if the alleged harassment and killings of innocent people of Sierra-Leone by the military of their country do not stop, then President Julius Maada Bio may likely face the international criminal court.
