PRESIDENT HASSAN ROUHANI OF IRAN BLAMED ISRAEL FOR KILLING AN IRANIAN NUCLEAR SCIENTIST, MOHSEN FAKHRIZADEH.

President Hassan Rouhani of Iran on Saturday blamed Israel for killing a nuclear scientist, Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. President Rouhani said that Iran would retaliate for Mohsen Fakhrizadeh’s death at the right time. It was reported that Mohsen Fakhrizadeh was shot dead on Friday, 27 November in east of Tehran. He was rushed to the hospital for treatment, but unfortunately died. The United States and Israeli intelligence officials suspected Mohsen Fakhrizadeh for leading Iran’s nuclear weapons program and he had been a top target of the Israeli intelligence service (Mossad). Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Iranian Supreme Leader also said that there would be definitive punishment for the killers of Mohsen Fakhrizadeh. Iran’s protesters on Saturday burnt Israeli and American flags in Tehran and Israel has put its embassies around the world on high alert. The European Union spokesperson condemned the assassination, calling it a criminal act that runs counter to the principle of respect for human rights which the EU stands for.
