PRESIDENT FILIPE NYUSI OF MOZAMBIQUE HAS SACKED HIS FOUR CABINET MEMBERS INCLUDING MINISTER OF ENERGY AND MINERAL RESOURCES.

Viewers Corner News correspondent learned that president Filipe Nyusi of Mozambique has fired his four ministers including minister of foreign affairs and minister of energy on Tuesday, December 12, 2017. The president appointed new ministers to replace those sacked. Leticia da Silva Klemens was replaced by Ernesto Max Elias Tonela as minister of energy and mineral resources. Jose Condugua Antonio Pacheco replaced Oldemiro Baloi as the new minister of foreign affairs. Jose Pacheco (agriculture and food security minister) was also fired and Industry and Commerce minister was also replaced. The president gave no reason for sacking them. Jose Pacheco who had been the minister of agriculture since 2010, previously served as the minister of interior (2005-2009). Pacheco has been accused of being involved in the illegal timber trade. The new energy minister (Ernesto Max Elias Tonela) previously served as the minister of commerce.
