President Donald Trump has terminated the United States relationship with World Health Organization on Friday, 29 May 2020 over the organization’s response to the coronavirus pandemic. President Trump who spoke at a press conference in the White House Rose Garden claimed that China has total control over the World Health Organization and that the United States would be redirecting its funds to assist other global health needs. He also stated that World Health Organization failed to make the requested and greatly needed reforms which his administration sent to Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus (World Health Organization Director-General) on May 18, hence the U.S breaking off ties with the organization (WHO). President Trump also accused China of covering up Wuhan coronavirus and allowed the disease to spread all over the world.
