The United States president, Donald Trump has warned Iran that if the country retaliates for the killing of General Qassem Soleimani by attacking any U.S citizen or assets, the United States would hit 52 chosen Iranian sites very fast and very hard. The U.S has also dispatched another 3,000 troops to Kuwait. President Trump who defended his decision to kill Qassem Soleimani said that the late Quds Force commander killed an American, wounded many others and had killed many people during his lifetime. He (Trump) also said that Qassem Soleimani attacked the U.S embassy and was preparing to strike other locations. The tensions between the United States and Iran started in 2018 after President Trump’s decision to pull U.S out of a nuclear deal signed in 2015 between Iran and world powers, and the killing of Qassem Soleimani has escalated the tensions between the two countries.
