PRESIDENT DONALD TRUMP HAS BEEN IMPEACHED BY THE DEMOCRATIC-LED HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, BECOMING THE THIRD PRESIDENT IN THE HISTORY OF U.S TO BE IMPEACHED.

The United States Democratic-led House of Representatives has impeached President Trump on Wednesday in a historical vote for obstruction of Congress and abuse of power related to his dealings with Ukraine. President Donald Trump has become the third president in the history of the United States to be impeached. On Wednesday, 18 December, the United States House passed both articles of impeachment (abuse of power and obstruction of Congress). In a six-hour debate on the House floor, the members of the House voted 230-197 to charge President Trump with abuse of power and 229-198 to charge him with obstruction of Congress. President Trump is expected to face the Senate in January for a trial. The Senate will then decide whether to convict President Trump and remove him from office but President Trump may likely to be acquitted by the Republican-controlled Senate.
