PRESIDENT BUHAR’S MINISTERIAL LIST WHICH TOOK MONTHS TO BE SUBMITTED TO THE SENATE OF THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA IS NOT SO IMPRESSIVE. DR OGBONNAYA ONU AND FEW OTHERS SHOULD NOT HAVE BEEN IN THAT LIST BECAUSE THEY HAVE NOTHING TO OFFER TO THE COUNTRY (NIGERIA).

Truth hurts, but sometimes it is better to say it so as to save a situation for good. Again, anyone who does not listen or take advice would always make mistakes. As it is now, the world has embraced Science and technology in almost everything which would in-turn enhance economic development of any country, based on that we (Viewers Corner News team) say that the ex-minister of science and technology (Dr Ogbonnaya Onu) during President Buhari’s first tenure failed completely to move the country (Nigeria) forward through science and technology. Meaning that he should not have made the list of ministerial nominees. His first tenure in office was a wasted effort despite his paper qualifications which he (Dr Ogbonnaya Onu) failed totally to put in use. If it were in other countries of the world, re-appointing any minister would be based on his or her past performance but in Dr Ogbonnaya Onu’s case who we (Viewers Corner News team) see as a dormant minister can not bring anything new to the table and has no reason to make that list. Science and technology is the future and Nigeria as a country needs a competent individual to handle such position except if President Buhari is going to choose from other ministers who would manage such division but then among all those in the ministerial list, we (Viewers Corner News team) did not see any such individual who can take up Science and technology position. Another surprising aspect is that President Buhari sent a ministerial list to the Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria without Nigerians knowing which position is given to each of the ministerial nominees. We (Viewers Corner News team) ask on which ground would the Senate direct their questions to the nominees? Normally the senate and the Nigerian public should have known the position those nominees would be occupying and not just sending ministerial list to the Senate for confirmation. In our (Viewers Corner News team) opinion, it is not done that way but like we (Viewers Corner News team) keep saying, if All Progressives Congress (APC) presents another individual who is not ready to listen or take advice, then APC as a political party may lose 2023 presidential election, but for now, Nigerians will have to make do with what is given to them until 2023 when they would have to make another choice. We (Viewers Corner News team) are appealing to President Buhari to have Mr Sambo Dasuki who has been in detention since December 2015 released as court ordered him to do. It is important to always obey court orders which is part of what democracy stands for.
