Most voters who voted for President Buhari to become the president of Nigeria did so because of his great works during the 80’s, take it or leave it, that is the truth. He (president Buhari) was a great leader who stood against corruption no matter who the person was but today, most Nigerians both home and abroad do not believe that he is capable of eradicating or even reducing the issue of corruption to the lowest level in the country (Nigeria). No, he can not and those who spoke to Viewers Corner News correspondent in Abuja (Nigeria) revealed that corruption in President Buhari’s government is huge. They also said that the only difference between President Buhari’s government and the past ones is that, those corrupt ones under the leadership of President Buhari know how to cover their corrupt tracks properly. Our (Viewers Corner News team) take on this is that President Buhari who we (Viewers Corner News team) trusted and supported is a direct opposite of who is leading Nigeria now. If not, by now every corrupt person in the country (Nigeria) would have been fished out and punished severely. Again, if it were in the past, the name “BUHARI” was a game changer anywhere it was mentioned but now it is no longer the same and that is why the country (Nigeria) can not move in the right direction as expected by majority of Nigerians. Look at Mr Ibrahim Maina, the ex-pension boss who allegedly stole billions of Naira belonging to the pension fund with his associates, we (Viewers Corner News team) are sure that at the end of his court case, the matter would be thrown into a trash box including others in similar situations in the country (Nigeria), nothing would be done to make them pay a price for committing such criminal acts which is not encouraging at all.
