President Buhari’s recent speech, in which he asked Nigerians to forgive him, is well noted. A few weeks before he leaves office as president of Nigeria, he is coming out to ask Nigerians to forgive him. The APC/President Buhari’s government does not obey or respect court orders; they violate court orders given to them. For a very long time, President Buhari has been ordered to release Mr. Nnamdi Kanu and others who were wrongfully arrested and detained, but until today, the government of Nigeria has refused to comply. In the recent general elections in Nigeria, the All Progressives Congress leadership claimed they were free and fair, even when Nigerians and international observers said that Nigeria’s general elections were not free and fair, yet the Independent National Electoral Commission of Nigeria, supported by the APC government, went ahead and announced a winner. The management of Nigeria’s economy by President Buhari’s government has not shown any significant improvement. Unemployment, intimidation of Nigerians, and corruption are all visible in every sector of the economy. Reckless borrowing and spending, which have brought Nigeria backward, are also another problem. If President Buhari wants Nigerians to forgive him, his government should start by releasing those who were wrongfully detained.
