POPE FRANCIS HAS ACCEPTED THE RESIGNATION OF ARCHBISHOP J. PETER SARTAIN OF SEATTLE FOR MEDICAL REASONS.

Our (Viewers Corner News) correspondent learned that Pope Francis has accepted the resignation of Archbishop J. Peter Sartain of Seattle. Archbishop Sartain (67 years) who submitted his letter of resignation to Pope Francis in September 2018 has serious back issues. Archbishop Paul D. Etienne who was appointed as coadjutor of the archdiocese since June will succeed Archbishop Sartain. The Archdiocese of Seattle also has two auxiliaries (Bishops Eusebio Elizondo and Daniel H. Mueggenborg). Archbishop J. Peter Sartain was the archbishop of Seattle since 2010. He was bishop of Little Rock from 2000 to 2006.
