POLITICANS WHO RULED NIGERIA IN THE PAST FAILED THE NIGERIAN PEOPLE, THEY WERE THERE TO ENRICH THEMSELVES AND NEVER CARED ABOUT THE WELFARE OF OTHER NIGERIANS.

The information we received from our correspondent in Abuja revealed that  Abukakar Bukola Saraki’s response to the statement made recently by ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo was a sincere one. Abubakar Bukola Saraki (Nigeria Senate President) replied Olusegun Obasanjo by stating that the blame game is not only for the people holding political position at the moment but also for those leaders who ruled Nigeria since 1999 till now. That those in authority as at that time are all guilty of the offence and has failed in their duty to put things right in the country. Our (Viewers Corner) take on this is that he was right and has spoken nicely, we believe that all the leaders who ruled Nigeria since independence should be included in this category because getting a good start in anything we do in life is the beginning of how successful we are going to be in future. Honestly, those leaders did not lay a good foundation when things were very good and that attitude is what Nigeria as a nation is suffering till today.
Nigeria past leaders celebrated corruption to the fullest with impunity, selfishness, greed and the I don’t care attitude, again different terrible political gangs emerged in such a situation that Nigerian citizens can not challenge them until President Buhari came to power. If not, it would still be business as usual so what Nigerians need right now is transparency and leaders with real sense of humour, leaders with outstanding qualities, integrity and honesty. If leaders with such qualities can be found, then most definitely Nigeria would stand on her feet again. We believe that if this present administration of President Buhari continues on the fight against corruption with sincerity, corruption would be eradicated in the country within a short period of time but he also needs the cooperation of all Nigerians to succeed. Therefore, Viewers Corner is appealing that Nigerians should support President Buhari’s administration because if corruption is wiped out of the system or reduced to the lowest level, then Nigeria as a great nation will surely be alright.
