As ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo said, that Peoples Democratic Party (P.D.P) of Nigeria is dead and already in the hands of the undertakers waiting to be buried was a good way of describing this political party (P.D.P) and majority of people both home and abroad believe him because no reasonable political party who have the interest of Nigeria at heart would want to merge with a political party (P.D.P) that has caused lots of pains to Nigerian people, no and never. In the past, we advised them on the way forward and if they can work on that, then may be Nigerians would listen to them but as long as this group of people who ruined the economy of Nigeria in the past are still the ones parading themselves as leaders of the party (P.D.P), it would be very difficult for them to lead the country (Nigeria) again, at least not too soon because the atrocities they created in the past years of leading Nigeria is still fresh in people’s minds. Having said this, inaugurating a 115 member committee to have this merger business conducted makes sense but the old alleged corrupt members of the party (P.D.P) should be benched, let new ones take a lead and start doing their home work on time. It is only on that ground that they may be on the side of luck but we do not see that happening soon. Again Peoples Democratic Party (P.D.P) of Nigeria might be able to convince people within the states they are governing at the moment to vote for them in the next election (2019) but with what Nigerians have known so far, that system has already changed and in the next election come 2019, it shall be proved. If care is not taken, they may lose more states to other political parties in the country (Nigeria) because of their past corrupt practices which everyone is aware of now in the country (Nigeria). However, the answer is reform the party (P.D.P) and bench those old corrupt individuals parading themselves as leaders.
