PENSIONERS IN RIVERS STATE (NIGERIA) ARE BEING OWED THEIR ALLOWANCES, THIS IS A SIN AGAINST GOD AND HUMANITY. RIVERS STATE OR ANY OTHER STATE GOVERNMENT IN NIGERIA HAVE NO REASON TO OWE PENSIONERS. PLEASE PAY THEM NOW, IT IS THEIR RIGHT AND NOT A FAVOUR.

Viewers Corner News correspondent in Porthacourt (Rivers state, Nigeria) revealed to us that Pensioners in the state are passing through hard time under the leadership of governor Nyesom Wike as a result of non-payment of gratuities and monthly allowances. It was also revealed that the arrears since 1999 have not been paid to date and efforts made by Viewers Corner News correspondent in Porthacourt (Rivers state, Nigeria) to reach the authority to answer our questions proved abortive. However, Viewers Corner News team would want to remind governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers state (Nigeria) and every other state governor in Nigeria who have refused to pay Nigerian Seniors (Pensioners) their allowances owed them, that it is a sin to do so. These are elders who worked throughout their lives trying to build their various states in Nigeria. Their contributions and hard works in the country (Nigeria) are what almost everyone in Nigeria is benefiting from, be you a state governor or president etc. They are senior citizens of Nigeria and should never be owed a cent. Any state governor in Nigeria who is owing them may somewhere along the line be creating difficulties for himself and his state because the law of nature hears them when they cry as a result of not giving them what they worked for in their early years by the government. It is not right in any functioning government anywhere in the world to owed pensioners. Again, put yourself in their position and then you would feel the pains they are passing through after working for so many years and now is time to take care of them, the money they laboured for which would at least assist them at this old age is nowhere to be found. Honestly, this is a sad situation and this is happening in most states in Nigeria based on the information our (Viewers Corner News) correspondent in Porthacourt (Nigeria) gathered. Another sad aspect is that most of these Pensioners died of stress related illnesses as a result of thinking and waiting for what they laboured for which never came before their death. This is too bad.
