It was reported that Pawel Adamowicz, Gdansk Mayor and a prominent Polish opposition leader died on Monday after being stabbed in the chest on Sunday, 13 January 2019 at a charity concert. According to the report, the attacker identified as Slawomir W. is a 27-year old assailant with a history of crime and mental illness. He stabbed Pawel Adamowicz severally on a stage in front of thousands of crowds and his anger is that he was wrongfully imprisoned by Poland’s former ruling party which supported Adamowicz.
