It was reported that Pakistan will hold parliamentary and provincial assembly elections on July 25, 2018. This will be the country’s first election since the Supreme Court removed Nawaz Sharif (the former Prime Minister) from office for concealing financial assets abroad. The Pakistan constitution specifies that new elections be held within 60 days of the term ending and the country’s National Assembly members will finish their tenure on May 31, 2018. Also President Mamnoon Hussain has approved the date for the parliamentary and provincial assembly elections which is on July 25, 2018.
