Information reaching Viewers Corner News revealed that the evidence before the Minna High Court in Nigeria against the former governor of Niger state (Babangida Aliyu) is really damaging. He (ex-governor Babangida Aliyu) and others allegedly embezzled over four billion Naira from Niger state government. These were funds believed to be for the state government but ex-governor Babangida Aliyu and his colleagues manipulated the system to favour their selfish interests which is bad. In our calculation if this huge sum of money allegedly stolen by these fraudsters were used correctly in Niger state, it would surely go a long way in making the state great but because he was the governor of that state, he decided to steal the money with his colleagues as alleged. This is absolute wickedness, such individuals should be given residence in the prison if found guilty, we mean real long term residence in any of the prisons in Nigeria so as to teach others lesson that such act of indiscipline is bad. If they are elected to office to lead their various states, they should show good example by using the federal allocation and the internally generated revenue from their various states nicely so as to make life a bit comfortable for the people of their states, that is why they are elected to office and not the other way round.
