Viewers Corner News team gathered recently from Abuja (Nigeria) that the son of Bala Mohammed is being held at the Kuje prison in Abuja (Nigeria) over a 1.1 billion Naira fraud. Bala Mohammed was the minister of federal capital territory Abuja (Nigeria) and his son is Shamsudeen Bala. It was also alleged that he is facing a 15 count charge on money laundering which he pleaded not guilty to all the charges. This action was brought against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) after much investigation concerning the alleged fraud, this is a great job carried out by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to get these corrupt leaders and their sons to book. Now this alleged 1.1 billion Naira as at when it was embezzled if put in good use, had it not been stolen would go along way in creating infrastructures for the people of Nigeria and the sad aspect of it all is that some of these Nigerian politicians and their children when they steal money instead of using it to create jobs for the Nigerian people by building industries in the country (Nigeria), they would prefer to send it abroad for safe keeping purpose for them and their families alone. This does not make any sense to us and should be regarded as mediocrity. Normally stealing of any sort is wrong but if you have to steal such huge amount of money, then try and invest it in your own country (Nigeria) so that the jobless people can be employed. Again if you look very closely at most Nigerian politicians that stole money from the treasury of Nigeria, their loots were not put in good use. They spend it carelessly and recklessly on things that are not important while the ordinary Nigerians are out there suffering. These group of politicians in Nigeria if found guilty should be made to spend longer years in the prison because that is where they belong for hurting the people of Nigeria.
