President Paul Kagame of Rwanda started nicely as a democratic leader and as he continue leading the people of his country (Rwanda), he (Paul Kagame) found out that power is sweet and can be intoxicating too. He started a crack down on critics of his government, he does not want anyone opposing his leadership in the country (Rwanda) even when he goes wrong. In the past, we (Viewers Corner News team) wrote articles concerning the way President Paul Kagame of Rwanda is handling those who opposed some of his agendas which they said would not benefit majority of people in Rwanda. Those criticizing some of his agendas were arrested and all sorts of charges placed on them, some of those individuals are now serving various jail terms which have been the tactics used by President Paul Kagame’s government to intimidate his opponents in the country (Rwanda). One Mr Kizito Mihigo who is a gospel singer, also an activist and had always been in detention in Rwanda which was allegedly ordered by President Paul Kagame and his government. Mr Kizito’s offence was speaking the truth by telling the world exactly who President Paul Kagame of Rwanda is which the president does not want the outside world to know. Perhaps this particular issue angered President Paul Kagame’s government and the man (Mr Kizito Mihigo) was again arrested and put in detention. After a short period of time, it was said that the man (Mr Kizito Mihigo) committed suicide in police custody which most people in Rwanda who spoke to Viewers Corner News correspondent in Kigali (Rwanda) believed that he was killed by President Paul Kagame’s agents and said that the gospel singer Mr Kizito Mihigi committed suicide. Even a presidential candidate who contested against President Paul Kagame in 2017 was declared missing, his whereabout as at the time of writing this report was not known and so many other cases which we (Viewers Corner News team) have written about in the past concerning how President Paul Kagame intimidates oppositions from other political parties. President Paul Kagame is the only one who knows it all and would not want any opposition. Again, we (Viewers Corner News team) would use this opportunity to plead with President Paul Kagame of Rwanda to follow democratic principles which allow people of his country (Rwanda) to air their views on issues, it is their right to do so. They should not be intimidated or killed for speaking their minds. No matter how good you may be in your job, there is someone in the country (Rwanda) who may do better work than you have ever done which is one of the reasons democracy requires time limit because nobody in this world would claim to know it all. We (Viewers Corner News team) are therefore appealing that President Paul Kagame gives other people in Rwanda the chance to prove themselves.
