n the recent 2024 Olympic games, there are a few athletes that have managed to make their mark in this memorable event. We will go through each of these athletes and their incredible performances.

– Mondo Duplantis, a Swedish pole vaulter, has managed to break a new world record height of 6.25 meters. In the evening on Monday, 5 August 2024, Mondo won a Paris 2024 gold with a vault of 6.00 meters. This is the ninth time Mondo Duplantis has broken the world record, beating the mark of 6.24 m he set in the Xiamen Diamond League in April 2024.
– Julien Alfred of Saint Lucia won a gold medal in the women’s 100m final with a time of 10.72. While Sha’Carri Richardson of the USA and Melissa Jefferson of the USA took silver and bronze medals, respectively.
– Cameron McEvoy of Australia won the men’s 50-meter freestyle swimming in the Paris 2024 Olympics. Cameron McEvoy, the first Australian man to win gold in the men’s 50-meter freestyle, has made Australia proud. Benjamin Proud of Great Britain took the silver medal, while Florent Manaudou of France brought home the bronze medal for the men’s 50-meter freestyle swimming.
– Noah Lyles of the USA secured gold in the men’s 100-meter dash. Noah’s time was 9.784, just a few seconds ahead of Kishane Thompson of Jamaica, who earned silver with 9.789, while Fred Kerley of the USA took home bronze with 9.81.
– Kaylia Nemour of Algeria is Africa’s first ever gymnastics medalist. Kaylia Nemour’s performance was a spectacle as she made history on the uneven bars and swung her way into history. Nemour scored a massive 15.700 to become Africa’s first ever gymnastics medalist. With former reigning world champion Qiu Qiyuan of China taking home the silver medal, and USA’s Suni Lee also got the bronze medal.
