It was reported that about fifty four (54) people including Islamic State fighters and 28 civilians were killed in the recent airstrike carried out in eastern Syria. The information was made known by Rami Abdulrahman (Syrian Observatory for Human Rights Director). According to the report, the victims were mostly Iraqi because the airstrike hit Syrian area some kilometers (miles) from the border with Iraq. It was believed that the airstrike was carried out by the U.S.-led coalition against Islamic State.
