Roadside bomb in Afghanistan

NOT LESS THAN 34 PEOPLE WERE KILLED AND MANY WOUNDED WHEN A BUS IN WESTERN AFGHANISTAN HIT A ROADSIDE BOMB.

It was reported that dozens of people mostly women and children were killed and many wounded on Wednesday when the bus they were travelling in hit a roadside bomb on Herat-Kandahar highway in a western Afghanistan. The Afgan authority said that the bomb was planted by the Taliban insurgents to target Afghan and foreign security force. Zabihullah Mujahid, the spokesman of the Taliban denied the allegation, saying that their fighters were not responsible for planting landmines in the area. He (Zabihullah Mujahid) also said that they were investigating the incident. As at the time of this report, no group has claimed responsibility for the attack.
