About nine people including three children were reportedly dead on Monday when a boat carrying them capsized in a lake near Egypt’s Mediterranean city of Alexandria. Mohammed el-Sharif, Alexandria’s governor said that five people were rescued and were taken to a hospital. Our correspondent in Cairo gathered that rescuers were still searching for other people who were missing in the lake. The cause of the boat capsizing is yet to be determined but governor Mohammed el-Sharif said that the boat was small and overcrowded. The boat carried about 20 people and all of them are from the same family as alleged.
