Alhaji Bola Tinubu, the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress has health problems. He is too old and can barely walk or stand for a long period without someone assisting him. In his campaign rally, all these problems are visible for everyone to see, still, some Nigerians are not worried. Instead, they are supporting him to be the president of Nigeria. This is the worst manipulation and imposition anyone or a group of people can carry out against the people of Nigeria. Nigeria of today needs a vibrant leader, certainly not Alhaji Bola Tinubu. A man who forgets most of the things he wants to say in his campaign rally until he is reminded of them. Such a man can not be the president of Nigeria. It was shown recently in one of Bola Tinubu’s rallies that when some of the APC members who stood at the podium with Alhaji Tinubu said “test the microphone” to check if it was working, Alhaji Bola Tinubu licked the microphone with his tongue. He probably thought that they meant he should test the microphone with his tongue. This is not his fault. Things like this can happen to anyone at that age. The issue is knowing when to quit the stage as a player because age and other health issues are not on his side. Alhaji Bola Tinubu’s supporters are fighting so hard to make him the president of Nigeria, but it will not work. He can not get enough votes that would enable him to win the presidential election. Nigerians are wiser now and are prepared to elect a leader with the capacity to direct the affairs of the country. Nigeria must grow and move to the next level. This should be the prayers of all Nigerians at this point of economic stagnation and hardship.
