As much as Nigerians are blaming the federal government of Nigeria for not creating jobs in the country, they should also look at the activities of the governors in each of the states of Nigeria. Look at the huge allocations every state in Nigeria collects from the federal government on a monthly basis, but when you visit most states in Nigeria, there is nothing good to write about. Salaries of workers are not properly paid, and infrastructure is not built, which is bad. It was revealed recently how much money state governors in Nigeria spent on feeding themselves and their families within a few months; it was so huge, while Nigerians who voted for them are living in abject poverty, which is sad. Again, the governors use the resources of their various states to enrich themselves, which is bad. Such an attitude by Nigerian governors should be condemned completely. As a governor, you should think of those who elected you to serve them first, using the resources of the state to better the lives of everyone in the state. This is the reason monthly allocations are paid to each state in Nigeria. It is not the governor’s money, but money that is supposed to be used for state projects that will benefit all the people of the state.
