Nigerians applaud President Buhari and his government for taking a bold step by retiring the former service chiefs and replacing them with new ones after series of calls made by majority of the people of Nigeria to have them removed from office. This is a welcome development. Viewers Corner News team pleads with politicians in Nigeria to allow the newly appointed service chiefs to carry out their duties without interference. We (Viewers Corner News team) believe that the reason the former service chiefs failed in their duties was that lots of people who are loyal to Boko-haram terrorist group and other bandits were indirectly dinning with those very close to the retired service chiefs, thereby making it difficult for the former service chiefs to take certain decisions on issues of insurgency and banditry in Nigeria. Viewers Corner News team hopes that such practice of manipulative loyalty would not be carried out by the newly appointed service chiefs. With what we have seen so far, the newly appointed service chiefs would bring an end to the senseless killings of innocent people across Nigeria, most especially in the northern part of Nigeria. For now, Nigerians should give the newly appointed service chiefs time to bring their years of experience to action in order to end the war against insurgency and banditry in Nigeria. We join Nigerians both home and abroad to call on the newly appointed service chiefs not to let the country down as they have accepted this huge task of keeping Nigeria and her citizens safe.
